Running Skirts a Big Win for Activewear Brand

Bloomingdale’s newcomer iRUNLIKEAGIRL introduces new top-seller

NEW YORK – Being picked up by Bloomingdale's isn't the only good news iRUNLIKEAGIRL has run into lately. The girl-powered activewear company also recently launched a new best-selling item — running skirts. “The skirts naturally promote the 'girl' in iRUNLIKEAGIRL,” says founder Jen Wright-Tubbs, “and we want to offer women products that will keep them looking good and feeling great. That’s what iRUN is all about.”

iRUNLIKEAGIRL introduced the lightweight articles so women can run with more comfort, confidence, and style. By advancing the “look great, feel great” attitude, Wright-Tubbs says she wants to make sure all women have the confidence they need to do anything, whether it’s running a marathon or ‘running’ to the grocery store.

So far, the “Girly Running Skirt,” a frilly black design with pink trim, has proven to be the most popular style. “I wore the ruffled skirt today at the New York City half-marathon. So cute!” says a Facebook fan of iRUNLIKEAGIRL. The other running skirt iRUN recently launched, the “Classic Running Skirt,” is a sleek black style, designed for women who prefer a more streamlined silhouette.

“The new skirts look great on so many different body shapes,” says Wright-Tubbs. “Right now there are many places still feeling the heat of summer, so it feels great to be in such a lightweight, carefree item! And what's more empowering for women than running in a skirt?”
